Three spiritual journals to help you keep going after Easter

Updated: Apr 5

Many people in our churches purchased a copy of our Lent Journal, '40 Days of Prayer'. I know, from comments received, that lots of people have been enjoying and finding value in the journals - despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 outbreak.

As we look ahead to the time after Easter - with still no return to regular church activities in sight - I want to offer some spiritual resources to help people continue to grow their spiritual lives over coming weeks.

I have created THREE more spiritual journals that can buy from Amazon (see below for links). These are more 'open-ended' than the Lent Journals - they don't include specific activites to 'do'. Instead, they give bible readings that relate to their theme, with prayer prompts, ideas for journaling, and lots of space write down prayers, blessings, things to be thankful for, and more...

40 DAYS OF BLESSINGS picks up on the theme of 'blessings' by directing us to 40 bible passages that speak of God's blessings. It encourages us to see how God blesses us each with prompts that focus on the ways that we can give and receive blessing.

EASTER TO PENTECOST traces the biblical narrative for the 50 day period from Easter Sunday to Pentecost Sunday. It digs into the post-resurrection appearances as well as St Paul's teaching in 1 Corinthians. Biblical, inspiring and encouraging.

40 DAYS IN PSALM 119 helps us to journey through the bible's longest Psalm. This journal uses the words of this Psalm, and it's focus on God's Word, to prompt us to discover deep truths and apply them directly into our daily lives. Super-helpful and challenging!

You'll appreciate that, with current lockdown, I cannot acquire and distribute copies - but I would invite you to order from Amazon by clicking the links above, and use one of these journals to stay in God's Word over the coming weeks and - who knows? - months.
